Continuing to Grow,
Continuing to Serve
The Michael Lawrence Animal Care Shelter successfully opened on ACSKC’s Copeland-Duemling Campus in January 2023. Kent County’s new animal shelter provides a safer, healthier, and less stressful environment for our animals, staff, visitors and volunteers.
Another advantage of our new facility? More ways to give back to our community! From hosting shelter-sponsored events on our 5-acre property to getting everyone involved in our expanded volunteer program, we are impacting more pets and their people than ever before.
And we won’t stop there. Your gift will help us reach our next goal: offering a wider variety of programs and services, including low-cost medical assistance to our community. Ensure a bright, safe future for generations to come by making a gift to the animals today.
$5,500,000 has been raised or pledged with expressions of love and support in all sizes. We are confident our remaining million-dollar mortgage will be extinguished with the continued support of our donors, foundations and perhaps a surprise angel or two!
